St. John's to Host 16th Annual Women in Sports Day with Guest Kerri Strug

St. John’s University will host its 16th Annual Women In Sports
Day on February 9 at 4:15 p.m. This year’s Keynote Speaker is
two-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Strug.
Women in Sports Day not only celebrates women’s achievements in the
field of sports, but it also serves as a tremendous service effort
University wide to help a cause that affects so many women in the
world.
The day will begin with the Women in Sports Clinic hosted by
student athletes from the Red Storm women’s teams, followed by the
St. John’s women’s basketball team tipping off against Georgetown
at 2pm in Carnesecca Arena. Immediately following the game, the
department of Student Life will host the Annual Women in Sports Day
Dinner and Awards Ceremony in Marillac Terrance, featuring Kerri
Strug.
