2009—New York Times bestselling author Jack Carew joined the
St. John’s community during the Annual Academic Internship Fair on
September 29, 2009.
During his session entitled ‘Your Ticket to Greatness is You!’,
Mr. Carew delivered a custom-designed motivational workshop
aimed at embracing one’s ideas, and developing skills and
competencies to market oneself in today’s job market. Roughly 100
enthusiastic students, faculty, staff and administrators were in
attendance.
The session was held after the fair at 6:30 PM in Marillac
Terrace A, but students were welcome to attend a book signing by
Mr. Carew during the fair which was held from 10:00 AM to 2:00
PM in Taffner Field House.
Jack Carew, also an alum of St. John’s, is hailed among the most
dynamic international speakers on the subject of sales and business
leadership. He has helped tens of thousands of people reach their
true potentials and his own career philosophy on the subject of
human effectiveness can be applied to any field of endeavor. Jack
has appeared as a guest on over 120 television programs including
CNBC Business News, CNN News, ABC, CBS, and NBC, sharing his
expertise in leadership effectiveness and teamwork.
With Mr. Carew’s vast experience and sales savvy, a coaching
experience with him was an intense focused blueprint for
success--making his session a highlight for any student in
attendance.
