The group of 60, which included alumni from the areas
surrounding Saratoga Springs and New York City spent the day “at
the rail,” watching all the action up close and enjoying a brunch
buffet in a private area exclusively for the St. John’s
contingent.
Alumni who came for a fun afternoon at the races and a chance to
see college friends were not disappointed. “I’m so glad St. John’s
offers opportunities to get together with other alumni,” said
Kathleen Evers '04CPS.
Sponsored by the Albany Alumni Chapter and Mid-Hudson Valley Alumni
Chapter, the event was a tremendous success. Albany Alumni Chapter
volunteer, John Neary '61CBA was pleased with the turnout and the
entire experience. Evers agreed saying that the event “totally
exceeded” her expectations.
Andrea Papa '88SVC, Associate Director, Student Engagement and
Regional Programs in the Office of Alumni Relations who was on hand
to greet attendees was happy to see so many alumni enjoying the
day’s activities. “I’m looking forward to making this an annual
tradition!”
