  St. John's University Community Dialogue Groups Mark Ten Year Anniversary 9:00 AM St. John’s University’s Office of Community Relations (OCR) recently held its Queens and Staten Island Community Dialogue Group (CDG) meetings and commemorated their tenth year of cooperation and communication between the University’s administration, students, the Queens and Staten Island communities and area neighbors.

• College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions Hosts Industrial Pharmacy Symposium 9:00 AM Further enriching St. John’s University’s quality academics, St. John’s College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions brought together pharmacy scholars and industry leaders at its Third Annual Dr. Charles I. Jarowski Industrial Pharmacy Symposium held at Taffner Field House on May 19, 2009.

• School of Law Hosts Mock Trial Program for Over 200 Middle School Students 9:00 AM The program was jointly sponsored by St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Regional School in Westbury, St. John’s University School of Law, and the Ronald H. Brown Center for Civil Rights and Economic Development. This was the seventh annual program, and the fourth time it has been hosted by St. John’s.

• Awards Reception Honors College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions Students 9:00 AM Honoring the academic achievements of its students, St. John’s College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions held its annual Student Awards Reception on May 13, 2009. The event, which opened with a prayer offered by Sr. Patty Ann O’Brien, D.C., Campus Minister, included the presentation of a total of 78 awards and scholarships to students.

• College of Professional Studies Holds Annual Awards Ceremony to Honor Students 9:00 AM To honor the outstanding accomplishments of its students, St. John’s College of Professional Studies held its annual Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, in Marillac Terrace. About 75 College of Professional Studies faculty and administrators turned out to honor more than 100 students for academic excellence and service to the College.
