Road Closure - Queens Campus
9:00 AM
The roadway between the D’Angelo Center and Sun Yat Sen Hall has now been closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic and the construction fence has been relocated. All vehicular and pedestrian traffic is now being diverted to the back of Sun Yat Sen and St Augustine Halls.

Students Explore Information Technology during Mass Communications in India Study Abroad Program

The Mass Communications in India study abroad program is only offered to juniors and seniors during the winter intersession and is limited to no more than 20 enrolled students. Space is still available for the next session on January 1-19, 2010.

Library Science Students Win Opportunity to Present at American Library Association’s Annual Conference

Six students enrolled in the federally funded Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) program at St. John’s University recently competed against library professionals and other library students for the esteemed honor of making presentations at the annual conference of the American Library Association (ALA) in Chicago.

To honor a St. John’s alumna, educator and administrator for her contributions to the academic life of the University, St. John’s College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions recently renamed the college’s Health Education Resource Center and on-campus Drug Information Center for Sr. Jane M. Durgin, C.I.J. The College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions dedicated the space on July 7, 2009.

St. John’s Gives Students Welcome Gift of Technology

New Student Orientation at St. John’s University would not be complete without a valuable gift of technology. As part of their welcome to St. John’s, on August 5, the University distributed brand new Lenovo ThinkPad X200 laptops to students from the class of 2013 and spoke about the importance of proper laptop care.

Repair Work Near Marillac Hall

Emergency work to repair a steam pipe near Marillac Hall at the Queens campus begins on Monday, August 10 at 8 a.m. While the plaza between Marillac and Newman Halls will be barricaded, there will be continued access to Marillac Hall and Marillac Cafeteria.
