St. John’s To Receive More Than $8 Million in HECap Funding, Second Largest Grant Statewide 9:00 AM All grant monies from HECap will be used by St. John’s this year for the completion of the new 5-story, brick-and-stone 127,000 square foot D’Angelo Center (named after St. John’s benefactors Peter and Peg D’Angelo and their family) which will open in September 2009.
Road Closure - Queens Campus 9:00 AM The roadway between the D’Angelo Center and Sun Yat Sen Hall has now been closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic and the construction fence has been relocated. All vehicular and pedestrian traffic is now being diverted to the back of Sun Yat Sen and St Augustine Halls.
Students Explore Information Technology during Mass Communications in India Study Abroad Program 9:00 AM The Mass Communications in India study abroad program is only offered to juniors and seniors during the winter intersession and is limited to no more than 20 enrolled students. Space is still available for the next session on January 1-19, 2010.
