  American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Walk Attracts More Than 675 St. John’s University Wide Participants 9:00 AM St. John’s University students, staff, administrators and faculty were out in full force on Queens Boulevard on Sunday, October 18 for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

• "The Eternal City" becomes Marketing Professor's New Classroom 9:00 AM “Integrating different values, cultures and perspectives into an academic experience amplifies personal growth,” says William Ryall Carroll, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in St. John’s University’s The Peter J. Tobin College of Business. For the first time since joining the University in 2008, Dr. Carroll is taking his marketing expertise overseas to teach two courses at St. John’s Rome, Italy campus.

• Vincentian Mission Award 9:00 AM In 1993 the University established the Vincentian Mission Award in order to recognize the dedication of the many St. John's employees - administrators, faculty, and staff - who have embraced the Vincentian spirit which animates our University in their personal as well as their professional lives.

• Academic Lecture Series: Half the Sky - Queens Campus 9:00 AM After his thought-provoking appearance at St. John’s University in October of 2006, the Academic Lecture Series is once again pleased to have Nicholas Kristof speak on the Queens campus. Mr. Kristof will discuss his new book, "Half the Sky" which he co-authored with his wife, Sheryl WuDunn.
