Professor Margaret V. Turano ’77
Appointed Associate Academic Dean at the School of Law

School of Law Dean Michael A. Simons has appointed Professor
Margaret V. Turano the Associate Academic Dean. Dean Simons
noted that he is excited to work with Professor Turano in
“furthering our shared mission of building a great law
school.”
A St. John’s Law graduate and a member of the faculty for over
thirty years, Professor Turano, is a widely recognized authority on
New York Trusts and Estates Law. She has received the Dean’s
Teaching Award three times in the past ten years and was voted
Professor of the Year by the students in 2008. She is also
the Faculty Director of the Law School’s Writing Center.
