Re: Vincentian Mission Award
Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2009

As you are aware, in 1993 the University established the Vincentian Mission Award in order to recognize the dedication of the many St. John's employees  - administrators, faculty, and staff - who have embraced the Vincentian spirit which animates our University in their personal as well as their professional lives.  Past recipients of the award are as follows:

YearRecipientEmployment Status

Once again I invite all members of the St. John's family to participate in designating this year's recipient of the award. Since only one recipient can be chosen annually from the many worthy nominations received, renominations are certainly appropriate. New nominations are also encouraged. Previous recipients are ineligible. Guidelines for nominations and a nomination form are included.

As in the past, final selection of the recipient will be made by a committee comprised of faculty, staff, and administrators and chaired by Dr. Dorothy E. Habben. The award will be presented at the annual Vincentian Convocation, which is always a highlight of Founder’s Week and which is scheduled for January 28, 2010. Please return your nominations by Friday, November 20 to Dr. Habben.

Thank you for your participation in this important activity which is designed to underscore our institutional commitment to serve those in need.
