Human Resources to Showcase Enrollment
Management at Department Showcase Series
On Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 3 p.m., the Office of Human
Resources will feature the Office of Enrollment Management as the
next department in its informative Department Showcase
Series.
To date, 800 employees have learned about the 17 departments that
Human Resources has showcased. Today’s showcase will explain how
Enrollment Management has helped the University go from being a
regional, commuter institution to an increasingly international,
residential university.
Applications and enrollment continue to reach record levels. For
example, undergraduate applications this year are 30% ahead of last
year. Consistently promoting the University’s character, programs
and faculty, Enrollment Management guides students in their journey
from prospective students to registered St. John’s University
students.
The Department Showcase Series helps employees learn about the
University in a very short amount of time. The presentations are
only 90 minutes long and allow employees the opportunity to speak
with the senior management team.
By attending showcases, employees are able to provide better
service to students by learning the functions, programs, services,
and strategic objectives of each department and college of St.
John’s. Participants also learn how departments work together to
serve students. Employees have said the showcases gave them “more
insight on what a department does,” “how it lives up to the
“University mission” and “how it serves students.”
Showcases are open to all administrators, staff and faculty.
