Skype is a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) application that lets users make free phone calls between Skype-equipped computers. This one hour workshop will focus on using Skype to improve student engagement and communication.  Techniques for inviting guest speakers, interacting with people who are fluent speakers of a foreign language that students want to learn, and exploring the educational possibilities of Skype’s video capture will be explored.
